Cleaning a tea strainer is not a difficult task. The below methods works on even light and very dirty tea strainer. You will learn various methods to clean the strainer.
How to Clean Tea Strainer with Baking Soda
You can clean both plastic and metal strainers with it.
Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda in warm water and prepare a solution. Soak the tea strainer in the mixture for 3-4 hours. After that clean it with a waste toothbrush. The dirty tea strainer will be cleaned.
Clean it with dishwashing soap and rinse it with water.
How to Clean Tea Strainer with Vinegar
You can clean both plastic and metal stainers with it.
Soak the tea strainer in a half-full bowl of vinegar. Leave it for the next 3-4 hours. After that rub it with a toothbrush and clean it with dishwashing soap or liquid.
How to clean Tea strainer with baking soda and Vinegar
You can clean both plastic and metal stainers with it.
- Take a small bowl and add 1/2 bowl vinegar in it.
- Add an equal amount of water to it.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
- Soak the tea strainer in it.
- Leave it for 5-6 hours.
- Now you will see that the tea strainer is almost clean.
- Take a used toothbrush and clean the tea strainer with it.
- After that wash, it was dishwashing soap and clean water.
How to Clean Tea Strainer Stainless Steel on Gas Stove
This method is only for the tea strainers which are made with steel or other metals. Do not use a plastic tea strainer for cleaning with this method.
Turn on the gas on low flames.
Put the tea stainer on the gas flames, and keep it there for 3-4 seconds. Burn all the stuck tea leftover.
Do this on all the sides of the tea strainer.
After that let it cool for few minutes.
Take a used toothbrush and clean the tea strainer with it.
After that wash, it was dishwashing soap and clean water.

- Do not let the tea or coffee dry on it. As i said above, wash it immediately after using.

- I would suggest use the metal tea strainer over plastic strainer. Plastic strainer looks very bad when it gets dirty and sometime we are not able to remove stains permanently.
